Carol Barbieri search for her natural mother began as a medical search when her 14 year old son was diagnosed with Wolff Parkinson-White Syndrome. She never realize that her son never had any medical history because she didn’t have hers. The deeper she got into her search the more she wanted to know about her natural mother. Unfortunately, she committed suicide 10 years before Carol had the chance to find her. Carol’s natural mother’s legacy was her other children. Carol feels that the best thing that came out of her search was finding her other siblings, some living in the very same town. Carol’s son is fine now after three heart operations. The successful one came two years after Carol finished her search for her natural family and was in response to an acute episode that required immediate treatment.
