St. Johns University Fourth Adoption Conference in NYC

Time is running out to register for the Fourth Biennial Adoption Conference at St. Johns University fourth adoption conference titled: "Families without Borders: Adoption Across Culture and Race".

This conference will be held at St. Johns University, Manhattan Campus located at 101 Murray Street, New York, NY 10007.

This two-day conference will take place on Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th. You can register for either Friday or Saturday or both. Registration at the door is welcome, but advanced registration is much preferred.
The conference is Co-Sponsored by: Montclair State University (College of Education and Human Services and CHDEL), Families with Children from China Greater New York, Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, American Adoption Congress, and New Jersey Adoption Resource Clearing House, a program of Children’s Aid and Family Services, Inc.

Betty Jean Lifton, PhD is an author of several well known books in the adoption industry. She is also a counselor in Cambridge, MA and NYC. Joyce Maquire Pave, EdD, LCSW, LMFT is the founder and CEO of the Center for Family Connections as well as an instructor at Harvard Medical School.

Additional presenters include adult adoptee Jaclyn Aronson, BA, David Brodzinsky, PhD of the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute, Beth Hall, BA who is the director of PACT, an adoption alliance, the co-founder of Diversity Matters, Deborah Haynor, MSW, as well as individuals from Child Study Center at Yale University, Montclair State University (NY), St. John’s University, Adoption Playshops, Western Carolina University, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canadian Center for Policy Alternatives, Montclair State University, University of NV, University of Minnesota, and many many more.

A boxed lunch may be purchased for $10.00 during the conference; advance notice is strongly preferred, so they can anticipate the number of lunches needed.
