Your inquiry should be for a "close relative," such as "mother," but not "birthmother," because the Salvation Army operated homes for unwed mothers, and it is their policy to maintain confidentiality for these women even though being reunited with offspring was never offered to any birthmother as an option. (2) The Salvation Army reserves the right to accept or reject any request for search assistance based on reasonableness, feasibility, or notice. (3) The inquirer is asked to forward a non-refundable donation (4) The inquirer may obtain information or an inquiry form by contacting the nearest territorial headquarters address listed above.
