Life is a book with many chapters. Some tell of tragedy, others of triumph. Some chapters are dull and ordinary, others intense and exciting. The key to being a succcess in life is to never stop on a difficult page, to never quit on a tough chapter. Champions have the courage to keep turning the pages because they know a better chapter lies ahead and nothing is impossible.

My live is full of so much sheer goodness right now. I have had my share of trials and tribulations like everyone does. However, this time in my life is one with few woes, and much to celebrate. Here are some of the many reasons I am thankful this year at Thanksgiving:

1. I am thankful that both my sons are enjoying their lives to the max. They live on different coasts, have varied interests and yet they both share an appreciation and love of life. One loves the outdoors, adventure and physical, active sports. He loves to play hard.

The other son takes pleasure in big city life, trying new restaurants and exploring NYC constantly. With his bride of two years, he is having an exciting and satisfying life.

2. I am thankful that my grandchildren asked their mom if we (my hubby and I) were coming over for Thanksgiving and when they heard we were not were upset. I am pleased to know that they thought we should be there.

3. I am thankful for all the warm, caring and supportive people that I have met in the adoption world over the past 5 years. I include those who share my opinions and some who do not. I appreciate learning from both.

4. I am thankful that it was easy for my relinquished son to find me, and that we were both strong and determined enough to form the bond that we now have. I also appreciate that he continues to be in my life.

5. I am thankful for my robust health, that I can ride a bike, hike and as yet have no daily meds to take.

6. I am thankful for my beautiful daughter and her three children, my grandchildren. I appreciate you all much than words can ever express.

6. Last, but by all means not least, I am thankful for my zany husband who makes me laugh alot, supports all that I do, loves me and spoils me without reservation. He pampers me and gives me a taste of how royalty must feel. It took me a very long time to find him, but after nearly ten years of marriage I am certain that he was worth the wait!
