The third film was the only one of the three films that I had not previously seen. I enjoy her movies so much that I want to see them over and over. Each time I see them, I thoroughly appreciate enjoy seeing them. Film 3 was the newest of her adoption movies and deals with siblings relationships.

Jean grew up with one other sibling in her adoptive family, a brother that her family had also adopted. When they were younger, they were quite close. Due to various circumstances including his mental illness, their relationship has suffered.

Sibling relationships in adoptions are becoming the topic of discussion these days. Jean was specifically asked to address this issue in a film.

When Jean reunited with her birth mother she discovered a large family of lively, noisy, but ultra-lovable siblings as well. The siblings numbered about seven or so, many of whom had children of their own. In addition to finding her birth mother, Jean became connected to her siblings, her children had new found cousins and a large typically Italian close-knit family.

Her third film covers discusses the relationships that she formed with her siblings, particularly with one brother that she became especially close to. Though she was able to spend several years with this brother, he developed a type of cancer that ultimately proved fatal. His death hit her particularly hard as they had a very strong bond. While she feels grateful for the brief time that she spent with him, she said that she also feels cheated as well. She stressed the inequity of separating siblings and thwarting their chances to know one another.

Like her other two films, this film about sibling relationships tells a very powerful and moving story. Hopefully it may help people realize the importance of sibling relationships.
